Location: Lake Hopatcong, NJ (On-site, full-time) Compensation: $61,000-$90,000 base salary (depending on experience) Employment: Full-time, permanent (direct hire) A civil engineering firm needs a hands-on Land Development Project Engineer to produce the engineering drawings that turn raw land into roads, drainage, utilities, and buildable lots. What You'll Own - Produce precise engineering drawings and construction-ready plan sets for land development - Design and detail grading, drainage/stormwater, utilities, and roadways in AutoCAD - Support surveyors and field teams with construction layout and stakeout - Help resolve site issues from design through construction - Contribute to land-development workflows end to end What You'll Bring - 5+ years of hands-on land development engineering experience - Strong AutoCAD (or Civil 3D) skills applied specifically to land development - Experience producing grading plans, drainage design, utility layouts, and road design - Experience supporting surveyors and construction layout - Ability to produce accurate, buildable engineering drawings Nice to Have - Civil 3D or other civil-CAD proficiency - Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or a BS in Civil Engineering - Municipal/public-works or utility design background If you know land development inside out and can turn raw parcels into buildable plans, this is a hands-on engineering seat with real project variety.
